Ms Gideon
Namibia
Panduleni Iyaloo Gideon, known on stage as Ms Gideon, is a Namibian artist who rose from singing in church choirs in Windhoek to gaining international attention. Born in 2005, she began performing at a young age and developed a style influenced by soul and Afrobeats.
Her breakthrough came with the 2022 hit Pretty Vibes, and she soon made history when her song Home became one of the first Namibian music videos to reach over one million views on YouTube within a month. Her growing profile was further boosted by a performance at the Apollo Theater in New York in 2024.
By early 2026, she achieved a direct recording contract with Sony Music Africa, a milestone for artists from her country. In 2023, Ms Gideon’s song Jehova was voted Fresh FM’s Song of the Year, earning her the inaugural award. She also uses her success to inspire young African women to pursue their dreams.
