Bantu Soul born Tshepo Motshegoa, is a Metro FM Award-winning South African singer, producer, and actor. Growing up in Temba, located north of Pretoria, Bantu Soul transitioned into a solo artist in 2007, marking the beginning of his independent journey in the industry His music is defined by a "soulphisticated" blend of R&B, and vocal house, often characterized by his smooth and cultural grounding.
In 2008, he won the Metro FM Award for Best Male Artist following his self-titled debut, "Bantu Soul." His international profile rose significantly when he opened for John Legend during the South African leg of the "Evolver" tour in 2009. His subsequent studio albums, "Soulphisticated" and "Love Crimes," further solidified his reputation as a premier vocalist. Beyond music, Motshegoa is a qualified systems architect with a BSc in Computer Science, famously balancing a career in high-end technology with his contributions to the South African arts.
