From Jalandhar, Punjab, Jaspreet Singh Manak discovered his passion for music at an early age, inspired by the region's rich tradition of Punjabi folk and contemporary pop. Writing songs during his teenage years, he developed a melodic style that paired heartfelt storytelling with modern production. Performing primarily in Punjabi, he entered the music industry determined to bring a fresh perspective to the genre while staying connected to his cultural roots.
Jass Manak began his professional career in 2017 with the single "U-Turn," but it was 2018's "Prada" that transformed him into one of India's fastest-rising Punjabi artists. The song became one of the country's most-streamed releases, paving the way for a string of successful singles including "Lehanga," "Suit Punjabi," "Viah," "Boss," "Rabb Wangu," "Shopping," and "Girlfriend." His debut album, “Age 19,” (2019), further established his reputation, followed by No Competition (2022), which expanded his catalog with a mix of romantic ballads and upbeat Punjabi pop.
Throughout his career, Manak has collaborated with artists and producers including Guri, Karan Randhawa, Bohemia, Divine, Asees Kaur, Simar Kaur, Rajat Nagpal, MixSingh, Deep Jandu, Ikky, and Avvy Sra. These collaborations have reinforced his position within the evolving Punjabi music scene while broadening his audience across India and the global Punjabi diaspora.
A major milestone came in 2024 when Manak ended his long association with Geet MP3 and signed with Mass Appeal India, opening a new chapter in his career. Under the label, he released “Late Night Talks,””Garage,” “Love & Lies,” and “Love & Lies (Unplugged),” showcasing both polished commercial productions and stripped-back acoustic performances that highlighted his songwriting abilities.
Among his achievements, "Lehanga" surpassed one billion YouTube views, making it one of the platform's most-viewed Punjabi music videos, while "Prada" remains one of the defining songs of modern Punjabi pop. Today, Jass Manak continues to record, tour internationally, and release new music, maintaining his place as one of the most influential voices of his generation and contributing to the growing global popularity of Punjabi music.
