Born in Kumasi, she hails from the culturally rich Ashanti Region, specifically Agogo, and imbues her music with these deep roots. The first of three children, Efe was exposed to gospel music from an early age, thanks to her father, Rev. Mensah Bonsu, a noted gospel minister. While pursuing a degree in Banking and Finance at the Christian Service University College, her musical aspirations matured, leading her to perform as a backing vocalist for celebrated artists such as Becca and Kwabena Kwabena. Efe's soulful style emerged forefront with her 2018 single, 'Yehowa ne M’abankese', a modern iteration of her father's own song. Her discography, which includes 'King of Glory' and 'Lord Have Your Way', explores themes of worship and divine grace, resonating strongly within the gospel community. Her artistry has not gone unnoticed; she has earned multiple nominations from the VGMA and 3Music Awards, claiming the Praise Achievement Award's New Artiste of the Year in 2022.
