Welcome to episode 13 of season 5 of the I Am Black History podcast brought to you by InTheBlack:Canada (ITBC) and DeeP Visions Media. In this episode, I talk with Calvin Lawrence who was born in Yarmouth, NS. and grew up in Halifax. Calvin is a proud 7th generation African Nova Scotian who can trace his heritage to the Black Empire Loyalist. In 2019, along with journalist and activist Miles Howe, Calvin authored a Book “Black Cop” which chronicles his trails and tribulations of being in law enforcement.
