A Queen will live, die, and repeat for this series of films! On this week’s episode of 2 Black Guys Talk Godzilla, Aaron and Terence cover a separate trilogy away from Godzilla that served as the actual conclusion of the Heisei Era. These movies are 1996’s Rebirth of Mothra, directed by Okihiro Yoneda; 1997’s Rebirth of Mothra II, directed by Kunio Miyoshi; and 1998’s Rebirth of Mothra III, directed by Yoneda again. Terence and Aaron have more than enough to dive into here, including variations of Mothra, how these films reveal more of her universe, the rivalry between her dedicated twins and their evil sister Belvera, and more. Plus, there’s plenty of fantastic Mothra fighting action with at least one fan favorite character to get into as well. Enjoy!
