On this episode of 2 Black Guys Talk Godzilla, Aaron Neuwirth and Terence look at three films: 2006’s The Host, directed by Bong Joon-ho; 2007’s Big Man Japan, directed by Hitoshi Matsumoto; and 2008’s Cloverfield, directed by Matt Reeves. With clear admiration for what Kaiju cinema has to offer, each film approaches the monster, the human plots, and the ideas they're built on in its own way, much like the Godzilla films of this Millennium era.
