Hillat Beta, whose real name is Hillat Kamugisha, has firmly established himself as a significant player in Uganda's vibrant Afro-Pop landscape. Born into a family spirited with musical flair, Hillat's journey began in the corridors of Boston High School in Entebbe–Mpala, where he discovered a love for singing. This zeal followed him to Riverside Church in Nakuwadde, Bulenga, where he sang in the choir, refining his talent and gaining the performance experience that would hallmark his career.
Hillat's professional career took off post-high school, seamlessly transitioning from choir harmonies to the dynamic world of Afro-Pop. His music delves into the rich tapestry of Ugandan life, reflecting relatable themes that strike chords with listeners. His debut album, 'Tukooye Ekyenyanja', released in 2022 under Content Connect Africa, is a nine-track exploration of emotion and rhythm that interweaves soulful Afro-Pop with authentic Ugandan storytelling.
Known for singles like 'Wokute' and 'Buzze Kubunabwo', where he collaborates with Nesa K, Hillat Beta's work consistently garners radio airplay and audience acclaim.
