Journey

Moses Oluwaseun Seriki, better known by his stage name Goldmarkist, was born on June 24, 1983, in Lagos, Nigeria, and was raised in the vibrant city of Benin. His musical journey began early, singing in church choirs and mastering various instruments, his favorite being the drums. By 1995, Goldmarkist became the youngest choir member to lead a song album, marking the start of his songwriting career. During his time at Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, he became the Choir Director of the Winner Chapel Campus Fellowship, a pivotal role that honed his musical leadership skills. This experience led to his nickname 'Goldmark 01,' eventually evolving into Goldmarkist, a name now synonymous with dynamic gospel music. In 2021, Goldmarkist released "Big Secret" and the genre-blending EP "GPS," further solidifying his place in the modern gospel scene. As the CEO of Goldmarkist's Rhythm, he combines afrobeats, qgom, bongoflava, and trap to produce inspirational Christian music. A 2023 YYC Music Awards nominee, he is also an active member of Calgary's Alberta Music Society and the New Covenant Assembly Church music ministry. Beyond his public persona, he is a dedicated husband and father, thrilling his family with impromptu drumming sessions.
