Born and raised in Baku, Azerbaijan, Afaq Aslan was deeply influenced by her family's creative roots. Her grandfather was a prominent academic, professor, and rector at the University of Arts in Azerbaijan which fostered her passion for the creative arts from a young age. Pursuing her creative interest formally, she earned a degree from the Faculty of Design at the Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University.
Afaq first rose to prominence as a pop singer in her home country, captivating audiences with her powerful vocal performances and striking stage presence. Performing exclusively in her native Azerbaijani language, she released several successful pop singles, including tracks such as "Ağla, Gözəl," "Sənə Görə," "Aysan Gecələrimdə," "Şərəfsiz," and "O Günlər." Her music earned her a dedicated following across the regional pop music scene.
Transitioning into a new phase of her career, Afaq relocated to Dubai, UAE, taking a hiatus from her primary focus on music to build a fashion empire. Combining her formal background in design with contemporary aesthetics, she established her luxury haute couture brand, Afaq Aslan Fashion. The label specializes in bespoke, high-end abayas, seamlessly blending traditional Middle Eastern modesty with modern elegance.
Afaq Aslan continues to manage her fashion line in Dubai while maintaining her status as a celebrated Azerbaijani media personality and entrepreneur.
