Pause and reflect on that. A country that calls itself a great democracy killed men like Malcolm, Martin, etc., whose only crime was helping people like us. The self-image and the act can't both be true. But both keep getting believed. And then that third line lands: reality will cause your fantasy to die, or it will if you think about it.
That's the whole episode distilled down to the essence. Institutions don't just act. They frame the story of what they did. They tell us what reality is, and then they expect us to accept their version, even when the facts say otherwise, that’s power.
So here's the question underneath everything this week: are we letting reality determine what we believe, or are we letting powerful institutions decide which facts count as reality, and then believing that instead?
Because if power can define reality, it doesn't need to win every argument. It just needs to control which facts are allowed to exist.
