In this episode of For Mannerless Women, Adelle Onyango sits down with Mary, her first friend in Limuru and one of the most inspiring women she’s had the joy to learn from. At 60, Mary returned to Kenya after decades abroad and chose to begin again. With no farming background and plenty of doubt, she used YouTube and sheer curiosity to learn banana farming and today, she runs a thriving farm and produce shop. Mary shares powerful reflections on aging, friendship, financial independence, health, and embracing change at any stage of life. She speaks honestly about the fears that come with starting over and why doing it afraid is still better than doing nothing at all.
