“Asasen” is a socially charged Haitian rap Kreyòl single by Baky, released in 2020. Over Magic Touch’s tense hip-hop production, Baky examines how poverty, political manipulation, gang recruitment, and the circulation of weapons destroy childhood and push vulnerable young people toward violence. The song ultimately calls for protecting Haiti’s youth.
