The Secret of Getting Ahead is Getting Started
So often we want to do a thing and are afraid. This was me in 2020. Once I called a thing a thing, I felt the fear and did it anyway.
Deneen L. Garrett: "So the secret of getting ahead is getting started. I was hesitant to get started. After my coach told me people were waiting to hear from me to hear my voice and then reading Brene Brown vulnerability. I NIKED it and launched an intimate conversation with women of color on Good Friday 2020 I felt the fear and did it anyway."
You have to start in order to finish. Recognize what's holding you back. Acknowledge it. Embrace it. Just do it!
Girls in STEM
TECHNOLOchicas is a national initiative of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and Televisa Foundation designed to raise awareness among young Latinas and their families about opportunities and careers in technology.
