What happens when your life is changed forever by a bullet — and the system that is supposed to protect you refuses to take responsibility?
In this powerful episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, we sit down with three Nigerians whose lives were permanently changed by violence and a system they say failed them.
One was an Uber driver who was shot by armed robbers and lost his sight
Another was an animator who was shot by a drunk police officer. He took the police to court, won his case, yet says he has never received the compensation awarded to him.
And joining them is an activist and lawyer, helping unpack the bigger question:
Why does a Nigerian life seem to become valuable only after tragedy happens?
We discuss:
• Police brutality and accountability
• The cost of losing your sight
• Victims who win in court but still don't get justice
• Compensation and the Nigerian justice system
• Why cases against powerful institutions can drag for years
• The real human cost of insecurity
• Who protects the ordinary Nigerian?
• And ultimately — WHAT IS A NIGERIAN LIFE WORTH?
This is not just a conversation about three victims.
It is a conversation about all of us.
