No Be Juju! An African Mythology Podcast is back with another minisode exploring Igbo culture and cosmology. Tune in to learn about Mmanwu, the traditional masquerades of the Igbo people of southeastern Nigeria.
We kick off the episode with as per usual (Vibe of the Week) and reminisce on our own (somewhat traumatising) masquerade experiences, reflecting on the need for masquerades to resume their historic roles as village surveillers that keep people in check!
Don’t forget to subscribe and share your own masquerade experiences and encounters... we’d love to hear them!
