I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Shayna Jones by Carol Lafayette-Boyd last summer when travelling west. I interviewed Shayna over Zoom from her home in Kaslo, British Columbia. Shayna is an award winning, professional, performance artist specializing in the traditional oral storytelling of African and Afro-Diasporic folklore.
