Welcome to Season 5 of the I Am Black History podcast brought to you by InTheBlackCanada and DeeP Visions Media. As usual, I started this season off with a family member. June Parris was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia and has connections to Springhill Nova Scotia and to the Black Sheppards of Prince Edward Island.
June's grandfather and mine were cousins and both are on Canada post's 2016 stamp commemorating the #2 Construction Battalion.
