In today's episode Gino chats to Nthabiseng Mokoena via Zoom from her home after a long day on set. Her love for story telling has increased her ability to be able to interchange her role between director and producer. She is currently busy directing Soft Life on Showmax.
Nthabiseng is a Wits University graduate with a BA in Drama and Film. She has huge experience in television - both as director and producer. And with her, there are no shortcuts. She started her career in television at the bottom of the ladder as a production assistant on the Big Idea (SABC). Over the past years she has worked her way up from runner to production coodinator, production manager, line producer and finally producer and director.

Her ultimate goal is to work for the Thabo Mbeki Foundation and to help in telling African stories and the African Renaissance dream where we as Africans can be proud of who we are and our capabilities.
Soft Life is the story of an ordinary township girl who enters the secretive world of high-society companionship (read escort) to settle her mother's medical bills. It is currently streaming on Showmax.
