Journey
Since their inception in 1971, Eschatos Bride Choir has carved out a distinct niche within Uganda's gospel music landscape. Founded by Dr. Abbey Kibalama, the ensemble's mission is rooted in eschatology - the theological study of end times, which influences their purpose of preparing audiences for spiritual fulfillment and renewal. From humble beginnings as a trio, the choir has expanded into a robust 25-member group recognized for their unique fusion of traditional Ugandan rhythms and gospel messages. Dr. Kibalama's leadership, alongside guidance from the late Rabbi Ezekiel Mulondo, has resulted in a discography exceeding 100 albums. Many compositions are credited to Kibalama's spiritual inspiration, contributing to the choir's reputation for moving and poignant performances. Eschatos Bride Choir delivers its ministry in both English and local languages, making their messages accessible to a broader audience. The choir rehearses weekly, emphasizing the role of music as a vehicle for evangelism. Beyond their recordings, they have published a hymnbook and continue guiding budding gospel choirs, fostering a vibrant community dedicated to spiritual and cultural expression.
