Sithembiso Simelane, professionally known as Zingah, is a South African rapper, songwriter, and media personality known for his pioneering work in the South African hip-hop genre.
Simelane grew up in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where his childhood passion for street culture and local hip-hop heavily influenced his early musical aspirations. He later relocated to Johannesburg to aggressively pursue a career in the mainstream music industry.
He officially entered the scene under the stage name Smashis, achieving breakout success as a core member of the legendary collective "Cashtime Fam" and the iconic label "Cashtime Life" during the early 2010s. Seeking a fresh artistic identity, he later rebranded as Zingah, transitioning into a versatile solo act.
His notable projects include the independent studio release "Sessions at The Crib" and hit singles like "Dlala", "Crucial" featuring AKA, and "Ub'santusantu" featuring Blxckie. Behind the scenes, he co-wrote the massive continental hit "iWalk Ye Phara" and collaborated with global giants Wizkid and Burna Boy.
Throughout his career, his chart-topping singles have achieved significant streaming milestones and heavy radio rotation across Sub-Saharan Africa.
