Bongani Kenneth Sibanyoni, known professionally as Yuppe, is a South African Afrobeats and Amapiano musician, producer, and songwriter best known for his role in the continental hit “Tshwala Bam.” Born in Mpumalanga and raised in Mamelodi East, Pretoria, South Africa, his early environment, steeped in African culture and music, deeply influenced his artistic direction and creative identity.
Yuppe’s musical journey began at a young age, initially engaging with hip hop production at around 13 years old before transitioning into the Amapiano scene in 2019, inspired by the likes of Mellow & Sleazy and other genre innovators. This shift marked a turning point in his career, leading him toward becoming a dynamic figure in South Africa’s vibrant music landscape.
Over the years, Yuppe has released a series of popular singles that showcase his eclectic fusion of Afrobeats rhythms and modern beats, including “HOT,” “Spani,” “Woke,” and “Jagermeister.” His collaboration with Krispy K on “Spiritual Sounds” helped establish his distinct sound, blending soulful melodies with energetic instrumentation.
