Worla Kay, born Wilbert Worlane Kwame Khorbs in 2001, was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. He attended Crown Prince Academy and Labone Senior High School before graduating from the University of Ghana, Legon. Early exposure to music and influences from artists such as Chris Brown, August Alsina, Jeremih, R. Kelly, Big Sean, and Jhené Aiko shaped his approach to songwriting and performance.
Worla Kay began developing his music career in 2019, working independently and refining a sound rooted in Afrobeats, hiplife, hip-hop, and R&B/soul. His style centers on melodic delivery and personal storytelling, drawing from real-life experiences and emotional themes. Operating under his independent imprint, Worla Kay Music, he built a catalog through consistent releases and collaborations.
His discography includes singles such as “Till Mama Callz,” “Ghost Rider,” “26 de Abril,” “Delusions,” “All 4 U,” “Stay Fly,” “M’ani Agye,” and “Good Night.” These releases established his presence on digital streaming platforms and highlighted his versatility across genres. Worla Kay has collaborated with artists including Diizi JeffJay, Kweku Yungin, and Crystalboy Deen, expanding his reach within Ghana’s emerging music scene.
