Journey
Vusimuzi Nongxa, better known as Snova and formerly known as Vusi Nova, is a multi-award-winning South African Afro-Soul and Afro-Pop singer-songwriter celebrated for his powerful, emotionally charged vocals.
Raised in Gqeberha, he discovered his passion for music through his grandmother’s church choir before relocating to Johannesburg. Following his mother's tragic passing, he overcame profound personal struggles and addiction by channeling his grief into a successful musical career.
Signing with Muthaland Entertainment, Nova achieved massive commercial stardom. His landmark 2016 album, “Naninina,”went triple-platinum, while his subsequent hit project, Manyan-Nyan, birthed the massive cultural anthem "As'phelelanga." A consistent force at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) and Metro FM Awards, he frequently reinvents his sound, even introducing the Amapiano alter-ego Snova. Now steering his independent record label, Nova Sounds, he remains one of Mzansi’s most cherished and resilient vocal icons.
