Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 21, 1990, Tshegofatso Ketshabile, famously known as Tshego, is a celebrated South African-American singer, songwriter, and record producer. The son of ordained ministers, he spent his formative years traveling between the United States and Southern Africa before his family permanently settled in Mafikeng in 2002. From a young age, he immersed himself in music, mastering multiple instruments and honing his skills as a self-taught producer.
Tshego first captured mainstream industry attention as a core member of the independent powerhouse label Family Tree. His definitive breakthrough arrived in 2016 with the sultry, chart-topping single "Hennessy," which established his signature blend of smooth R&B melodies and contemporary trap inflections. Earning the nickname "Pink Panther" for his distinct aesthetic, he eventually transitioned into a fully independent artist to launch his own imprint.
In 2019, Tshego released his highly anticipated debut studio album, Pink Panther. The record yielded the massive, multi-platinum hit single "No Ties," which earned critical acclaim and multiple nominations at the South African Music Awards.
