TNS, whose real name is Nkazimulo Ngema, is a celebrated South African DJ, music producer, and vocalist who revolutionized the modern Afro-house music scene. Born on July 18, 2000, in Mandeni, KwaZulu-Natal, his early life was marred by severe adversity, including the loss of his parents and periods of homelessness. He found solace in music, drawing early inspiration from local church choirs before teaching himself music production at just twelve years old.
His undeniable genius caught the attention of industry veterans, propelling him into the spotlight as the co-producer of the historic 2018 anthems "Club Controller" and "Banomoya." Although contractual and financial disputes over these tracks threatened to derail his early career, TNS demonstrated immense resilience by launching his independent imprint, TNS Music.
He silenced skeptics with his 2019 official debut solo single, "My Dali," a multi-platinum chart-topper that made him a household name. He followed this success with his masterfully crafted debut album, "Madlokovu King of African House," which beautifully married deep house beats with traditional Zulu vocal arrangements.
Through consistent hit records and subsequent albums like "Phupholethu," TNS has cemented his status as an innovative pioneer of African electronic music, turning his personal survival story into a source of national inspiration.
