Born and raised in Middleburg, Mpumalanga, he developed a passion for music early, influenced by his father’s jazz interests, and began producing music as a student.
Tk Small has gained recognition in the South African Amapiano scene for his energetic beats, log‑drum-driven rhythms, and fusion of traditional Amapiano grooves with Gqom and electronic elements. His music resonates in major hubs including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, and Cape Town.
