T.M.A_Rsa, whose real name is Tshegetso Ntando Shongwe, is a South African Amapiano producer, recording artist, and DJ from Atteridgeville, Tshwane. He began producing music as a child, inspired by his father, Thabz Le Madonga, and released his debut EP at age 11.
Over the years, he has developed a prolific catalog of solo and collaborative projects. Shongwe gained widespread recognition in 2024–2025, earning platinum certification for over six million streams of his track “Asambe.” His 2025 album "Beyond The Vision" highlights his skill in blending soulful melodies, deep percussion, and electronic textures, featuring artists such as Ggoldie, Chley, CowBoii, Malume Hypeman, II Wise Fellas, and Sky Deep SA.
Active in Pretoria and Johannesburg, T.M.A_Rsa specializes in the Sgidongo and Amapiano subgenres, characterized by deep basslines, melodic log drums, and rhythmic vocal collaborations. Notable tracks include “Show Off," "Lobola," "Lesotho," "Mantjuku," and "Hamba." His frequent collaborations with B6 Rider and other rising artists have cemented his presence in South Africa’s underground Amapiano scene.
