Kutlwano Thamsanqa Mlele, popularly known by his stage name Swartspeare, was a South African singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, and Amapiano vocalist. He was recognized for his rich vocal style and his contribution to the development of Afro-Piano and Amapiano music, genres that became major forces in South Africa's contemporary music landscape.
Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Swartspeare developed a love for music from a young age. His interest in singing and songwriting eventually led him to pursue a professional music career. Through dedication and creativity, he became a respected figure within the local music industry, earning praise for his ability to combine heartfelt lyrics with infectious rhythms.
Swartspeare's breakthrough came through collaborations with influential producers and artists in the Amapiano scene. He worked with names such as The Lowkeys and Kota Embassy, helping to shape the sound of Afro-Piano music. His most notable songs include "Gugu," "Juluka," "No Dolly," and "Phola Nhliziyo."
