The Springbok Nude Girls, also known as Nude Girls, is a renowned South African alternative rock band that came into being in 1994. The group comprises Arno Carstens as the lead vocalist, Theo Crous on lead guitar, Arno Blumer playing rhythm guitar, Adriaan Brand on bass guitar, and Francois Kruger on drums. Their unique sound, which blends elements of punk, rock, they rose to fame during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their debut album, "Neanderthal 1," was released in 1995 and was succeeded by successful albums before the band went on hiatus in 2001. The band has earned accolades, including several South African Music Awards (SAMAs), and was nominated for Best African Rock Act at the 2001 MTV Europe Music Awards. They also performed at many notable events. In 2011, the band reunited to record and release a new EP and has continued to collaborate and create music.
