Namukwaya Hajara Diana, professionally recognized as Spice Diana, is a Ugandan singer, songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur whose career has made her one of the country's most accomplished contemporary recording artists. Born in Kampala, Uganda, she records in Luganda and English, with a catalogue spanning Afrobeats, Afro-pop, R&B, and dancehall. Since making her recording debut in 2014, she has maintained a consistent release schedule, expanded her audience across East Africa, and established a strong presence on digital streaming platforms and the live performance circuit.
Raised in Nakulabye by her mother, Beatrice Nantale, Spice Diana attended Kibuli Demonstration School, St. Peter's Senior Secondary School, and Kampala Citizens College before graduating from Makerere University with a Bachelor of Industrial Arts. While pursuing her education, she participated in church choir activities, drama productions, and creative arts, experiences that contributed to her development as a performer. She initially explored rap before focusing on singing, a transition that shaped her artistic direction.
Her breakthrough arrived with the 2014 single "Onsanula," released through Avie Records. The song introduced her to a national audience and earned the Best Female Breakthrough Artist award at the 2015 HiPipo Music Awards. She subsequently worked with Twinkle Star Entertainment and Humble Management before joining Source Management, where she continued to expand both her recording career and business interests.
Her body of work includes the studio album "Bimpe" (2017), the live project "Upclose & Personal (Live Version)" (2020), the EP "Star Gal" (2022), and singles such as "Now," "Anti Kale," "Buteke," "Siri Regular," "Kwata Wano," "Body," "Omusheshe," "Kokonya," "Best Friend," "Upendo," "Do Me," "Twokya," "Mind Your Business," "Kibadde Kisa," "Kagobako," and "Nzigulawo."
