Journey
Royal MusiQ (Tisetso Njabulo Mkhonto) is a South African producer known for his work within Amapiano. He has gained recognition in the genre through consistent releases and collaborations.
Before focusing on music, he was involved in football and trained to a level that earned him trials with AFC Bournemouth in the UK. In 2019, he shifted his focus from football to music and began building his production career.
His production style is built around deep basslines, layered percussion, and electronic elements. His work is influenced by artists such as Black Coffee, MFR Souls, and Kelvin Momo.
His collaborations with Uncle Waffles brought wider attention to his work. Tracks such as “Wadibusa” and “ZENZELE” contributed to his visibility, while “Ke Wave” and “AmaRider” added to his catalogue. The ad-lib “Zenzele” has also become associated with his releases.
He has released projects including The Preparation (EP), “Nie Vir Almal Nie” with Djy Zan SA, and “Sorrows Of My Heart.”
