Germain Randrianarisoa, professionally and widely known as Rajery, is a Valiha player from Madagascar.
Born without disability, but at 11 months, Rajery's right fingers shrunk and fell off after being poisoned.
Undeterred by his limitation, Rajery began learning to play valiha in secret until he was invited by a bandleader to join his group. At his first solo public performance, the crowd jeered and laughed at him. This event became a positive deciding point for music in his life.
