Papers 707, born Vusi Mabuza, was a legendary South African dancer, entertainer, and DJ widely revered as a foundational pioneer of the Amapiano genre. Rather than focusing solely on music production, he became the ultimate cultural ambassador, single-handedly shaping the visual identity and viral dance movements that transformed Amapiano from an underground township sound into a global lifestyle.
Renowned for his high-energy club routines, characterized by his signature footwork, holding a premium bottle, and carrying a trademark towel, he created the viral blueprint that mainstream stars continually emulated.
Beyond dancing, he contributed to major anthems like "Comgolose Thuma Mina" alongside Thackzin DJ and released the popular "Lockdown Medication Vol. 2" mixtape.
Following his tragic passing in July 2020 at age 42, industry giants Kabza De Small and Kelvin Momo released the tribute track "Lala Ngoxolo", cementing his immortal legacy as the man who taught the world how to groove to Amapiano.
