Journey
Onoriode Ebiere Ariyo (née Bikawei), known professionally as Onos, is a heavyweight in the Nigerian gospel industry whose soulful delivery has transformed modern worship. Born on October 1, 1982, in Delta State, she developed her musical foundation during her formative years and university days. Despite her academic background in French from Delta State University, her true calling emerged in 2009 with her debut track, "Dance."
The trajectory of her ministry shifted permanently in 2014 following the massive success of "Alagbara," a song that remains a cornerstone of church services globally. Her impressive body of work includes landmark albums like Keep Moving (2010), No Limit (2014), and New Dimension (2022). A pioneer in the industry, she made history in late 2024 as the first Nigerian gospel musician to sign with Sony Music West Africa, a partnership that birthed her recent projects, Forever It Is Done and the 2025 album Adoration.
Her mantle is decorated with honors, including Best Female Vocalist accolades and the Female Artist of Excellence award at the AGMMA UK. As the convener of the acclaimed B R E A T H E worship meetings and a member of the Global Top 100 Most Influential People of African Descent, Onos continues to inspire millions by merging technical vocal excellence with deep spiritual devotion.
