Olivetheboy, born Joel Ofori Bonsu in Konongo, Ashanti Region, is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter carving a distinct path in Afrobeats. Growing up surrounded by music, he nurtured his craft through school and later refined it with deeper exploration at the University of Ghana.
He began recording around 2020, and his breakout moment arrived in 2023 with "Avana," an EP highlighted by the viral single "Goodsin," which quickly became one of Ghana’s most-streamed songs. The momentum secured him a partnership with Columbia Records under Bu Vision Entertainment, boosting his visibility across Africa and beyond.
By 2025, he had amassed over 100 million digital streams and released his second EP, "Out of the Blue," featuring notable collaborations. Blending Afrobeats with heartfelt storytelling, Olivetheboy has established himself as one of Ghana’s most promising young voices.
