Ntokozo Masinga is a South African singer and recording artist whose name means “happiness” in Zulu. She came into the spotlight in the mid-1990s, a period when South African pop music was evolving alongside the rise of kwaito. Her debut album, "All I Need," was released in July 1996 under Sony Music Entertainment Africa and marked her official introduction to the music industry. The title track became closely associated with her name and remains her most recognised release.
The album was produced by Mdu Masilela, a respected pioneer in South African music, and drew from pop, R&B, and local influences. She continued her recording career with a second album, "Keep It Real," released in 2000. After this period, her musical output became less frequent, though her early work continued to resonate with fans of 1990s South African music.
In 2020, Ntokozo returned to recorded music through a collaboration on DJ Chilli Black’s house single "Heart & Soul."
