Journey
Ntaba 2 London, the stage persona of Sandrine Ntaba, is a powerhouse of Congolese-French talent who has redefined contemporary African dance music. Born in Paris to parents from Kinshasa, she grew up at the intersection of European urban culture and deep Congolese musical traditions. She first made a name for herself as a professional dancer and choreographer, becoming a key figure in the ndombolo dance community before deciding to lend her voice to the tracks she once danced to.
Her musical debut featured singles like "Ntaba Birthday" (2021) and "Mood" (2022), which introduced her to the Francophone African audience. However, it was her 2024 innovative masterpiece, "Ndombopiano," that catapulted her to international stardom. By masterfully blending the fast-paced ndombolo rhythms of the Congo with the deep log-drum basslines of South African amapiano, she created a cross-continental sound that dominated social media and clubs globally. This success led to her signing with Sony Music Entertainment Africa, positioning her as a flagship artist for the label's expansion into Central African fusions.
In 2025 and 2026, Ntaba 2 London has continued this momentum with a string of successful releases. Her collaboration with Brigade Sarbaty on "Ola Oli" became a 2025 anthem, while her project Me vs Moi showcased her range as a songwriter. Known by her fans as "La Beaugabelle" or "Baby Boss," she is celebrated for her distinct visual style and her ability to maintain the raw energy of Congolese sébène within a polished pop framework. She remains one of the most influential female voices in Afropop, consistently touring between Paris, Kinshasa, and Johannesburg, and inspiring a new generation of dancers-turned-musicians.
