His transition to a solo artist was marked by the release of his debut album "Excited" in 2001, which introduced his unique ability to blend traditional Sotho worship with contemporary gospel textures.
Zimu’s career reached its zenith through his long-standing partnership with the "Spirit of Praise" collective. His 2017 masterpiece, "Jehova Re Tshepile Wena," became more than just a hit single; it became a national anthem of faith, earning him multiple Crown Gospel Awards and a SAMA Award. His discography is a testament to his musical versatility, featuring high-concept projects like "Another Level of Worship," "I Trust In You," and the live recording "The Waiting Is Over."
