Born Nhlamulo Baloyi in 1990, NOTA (also known as Lavida Nota) is a highly polarizing South African music executive, entrepreneur, and cultural commentator. He initially entered the music industry as a recording artist and producer, releasing standalone rap singles such as "Karama" and "Preacher." However, his most significant industry footprint was made behind the scenes as a pioneer thinker and artist manager. Most notably, he guided the career of multi-platinum rapper Kwesta and served as a key architect behind the critically acclaimed “DaKAR II,” album, which earned sevenfold Platinum certification and swept the South African Music Awards.
In addition to management, Baloyi has lent his expertise to prominent global music distribution entities like Sony Music’s The Orchard.
