Born Sfanele Dumisani Zulu, Mzukulu is a South African Maskandi singer and songwriter. He came from a lineage of musicians as his grandfather was Maskandi star Zimele Buthelezi, and his parents were Maskandi performers Phumangelakhe and Thuleleni Buthelezi. His journey into music started in his teenage years when he started performing in community centers in South Africa.
He released his debut album, "Vukani Nonke," in 2017 and has about four LPs to his credit. His music, which showcases his rural roots, amplifies the Zulu culture and tradition.
