Mpume Mavundla (born January 18) is a versatile South African professional, celebrated as an education specialist, project manager, investment executive, gospel musician, and author. Raised in Adams Mission, KwaZulu-Natal, she cultivated a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit early in life, alongside a deep appreciation for learning instilled by her parents.
She holds a BSc from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, an MBA from the University of Pretoria, a B.Ed. and BA Hons from the University of Zululand, and additional qualifications in project and human resource management.
Mavundla has extensive experience in education, curriculum development, and government project management. She is a founding team member of One Stone Capital, serving as CFO and Managing Director of its South African branch.
Alongside her corporate career, she is a gospel artist, releasing her debut album Angimbonanga (2012) and singles like O Jesu (2017) and Ewe Ngimtholile (2018). She is also a published author of The Tree Parables (2018) and Dad and Daughter Conversations (2021).
Married to Nolundi Mboniswa Shezi, Mpume is a devoted mother to two daughters, Dumo and Okuhle, balancing family life with her professional and creative endeavors.
