Mark Augustine Makumbi, a vibrant force in Ugandan media, was celebrated for his insightful sports commentary and dedication to Kadongo Kamu music. Born in the vibrant neighborhood of Katwe Kiganda in Kampala on December 22, 1978, Makumbi pursued an education in journalism at UMCAT, earning his diploma in 2001. He began his illustrious career at Radio Sapientia, where he became a household name with 'The Sporting Weekend,' notably marking his authority during the Rio Ferdinand transfer coverage in 2002. Transitioning to CBS FM in 2008, Mark brought his trademark humor to collaborations with David Lumansi and made significant contributions to the appreciation of Ugandan traditional music through his engaging reviews on WBS TV and Bukedde TV.
