Sibusiso Blessing Sibisi, better known as Lowfeye, is a rising star shaking up the South African hip-hop scene. As co-founder of Qwellers, Lowfeye's musical journey began when he was just four years old, courtesy of a thoughtful gift from his mom - a keyboard that sparked a lifelong passion.
Hailing from Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal, Lowfeye first made waves in his hometown before expanding his reach to Johannesburg, Durban, and Pretoria. Drawing inspiration from hip-hop heavyweights like Big Zulu, Sjava, and Nasty C, he honed his craft, eventually releasing his debut collaborative EP, "Far from Home," with his brother Lacabra.
The EP introduced Lowfeye's sound to the industry, but it was his collaborative breakout single, "uNoXhoka," that truly solidified his reputation, earning him widespread acclaim. Among his works, "Ubomi Abumanga," holds a special place in his heart, as it connects him to his mother's Xhosa roots and evokes deep emotions.
A career-defining moment came when his collaboration with Sjava, "Typhoon," was certified Gold. Looking ahead, Lowfeye aspires to become a true African giant, inspiring the next generation of artists while taking his music to the global stage.
