Klara Kjellén, professionally known as KLARA, is a Swedish-born singer-songwriter recognized for blending indie pop, folk influences, and atmospheric alternative production into emotionally driven music. Born in Lund, Sweden, and later based in London, she emerged as part of a new generation of Scandinavian artists combining intimate songwriting with cinematic soundscapes. Her artistic direction was shaped by exposure to both Nordic folk traditions and contemporary indie music, creating a style often compared to artists such as Daughter, London Grammar, and Bon Iver.
She gained wider attention after meeting Justin Vernon of Bon Iver during Glastonbury Festival in 2015, an encounter that influenced her musical experimentation and songwriting approach.
