Khululiwe Sithole is a distinguished South African vocalist and choreographer who has left an indelible mark on the global stage. Born in Umlazi, Durban, her career began under the mentorship of Mbongeni Ngema, leading to a prominent role in the Broadway sensation “Sarafina!” and later “Township Fever.”
A master of "Urban Zulu" music, Sithole seamlessly blends Afro-Jazz, Maskandi, and Gospel. She worked closely with the legendary Jabu Khanyile, not only as a lead backing vocalist for the band Bayete but also as a choreographer who popularized the group’s iconic dance routines. Her creative partnership with Khanyile culminated in her directing his final live recording and collaboration with Busi Mhlongo in 2006.
Beyond the stage, she achieved international acclaim for her vocal contributions to “The Lion King: Rhythm of the Pride Lands,” earning a gold sales award. Her career remains a testament to African artistic excellence and cultural preservation.
