Journey
Oladotun Olubi, better known as Keys the Prince, is a British-Nigerian musician whose work stretches across Afrobeats, Afrofusion, rap, R&B, and Yoruba-inspired sounds. Living in West London, he draws from both his Nigerian heritage and diaspora upbringing to craft a style that connects two cultural worlds.
His stage name is rooted in personal history: “Keys” recalls his early love for the piano, while “Prince” comes from Omoba, a Yoruba nickname from his grandmother meaning “child of a king.” Growing up in a home filled with music, he was introduced to gospel and Nigerian classics by his parents, which sparked his journey as a pianist and producer.
He made waves with "Nothing" (2020) and his debut album "Nothing Else Matters" (2020). His major breakout came in 2024 with "Left Right," a track sampling Yinka Ayefele that went viral across social media and deepened his reach in both Nigeria and abroad.
In 2023, Keys delivered a COLORS performance of "OSHEY" and later signed with Sony Music UK’s 5K Records. Known for shaping his own visuals and weaving faith, Yoruba culture, and identity into his art, Keys the Prince stands out as a rapper, producer, and pianist telling the story of modern British-Nigerian creativity.
