Journey
Ayoola Oladapo Agboola, professionally known as KDDO and formerly Kiddominant, is a Nigerian artist, record producer, songwriter, and DJ whose work has left a lasting imprint on Afrobeats and global pop music. Born in Lagos, KDDO’s passion for music began at a young age, experimenting with sounds and learning production skills that would later shape his signature style.
He first gained recognition as a producer with his ability to create tracks that balanced African rhythms with international appeal. His big break came with Davido’s hit single “Fall”, a record that not only dominated charts across Africa but also became one of the most streamed Afrobeats songs worldwide. That moment marked KDDO as one of the key architects of modern Afrobeats.
KDDO has since expanded his influence by collaborating with some of the biggest names in global music. His credits include work with Chris Brown, Summer Walker, AKA, Popcaan, and Wizkid, among others. His versatility allows him to move seamlessly between Afrobeats, R&B, hip-hop, and pop, making his productions resonate with audiences across continents.
In 2021, he released his debut project “Too Late Too Lit,” which showcased his growth as not just a producer but also an artist. The project highlighted his creative vision and ability to craft songs that are both personal and universal.
KDDO’s career continues to rise as he takes Afrobeats to international stages, while remaining deeply connected to his Nigerian roots. Known for pushing boundaries and experimenting with sound, he is widely celebrated as one of the producers shaping the global recognition of African music today.
From Lagos to Los Angeles, KDDO’s journey reflects dedication, creativity, and an unshakable passion for music.
