Born and raised in South Africa, Sibeko belongs to the innovative wave of artists who shifted the genre toward "Private School Amapiano," a sophisticated sub-genre characterized by its mellow tempos, soulful atmosphere, and extensive use of live jazz instrumentation.
His dual role distinguishes Sibeko’s career as a high-level technical producer and a label executive. He is the founder and CEO of Blxckboy Music Entertainment, a platform he has used to champion independent South African talent.
