Journey
Llimondrey Ferreira, who uses the moniker Infinity MusiQ, is a South African producer and DJ whose work defines the gritty "Mguzu" sub-genre of Amapiano. Born and raised in Soweto, Ferreira was immersed in the township’s rhythmic evolution from an early age. This environment provided the sonic blueprint for his career, leading him to prioritize raw, percussive energy over the polished commercialism of mainstream house music.
Ferreira achieved national recognition through a prolific partnership with producer uLazi. Their creative chemistry birthed the 2023 viral anthem "Yey," a track that dominated digital platforms and solidified the "Mguzuguzu" aesthetic. As a leading figure in the Mguzuguzu Records collective, Ferreira specializes in aggressive log drums and dark, hypnotic melodic loops. His production style, often referred to as "Sgidongo," has become a staple in Johannesburg’s street dance and car culture.
His discography reflects a tireless work ethic, highlighted by the collaborative album series My “Other Side, Vol. 1–4,” and the “Ezase Mguzu Stones,” projects.
In 2025, he released the solo-focused album “Rebirth, " showcasing his technical growth and versatility.
Ferreira has transitioned from a local underground hero into a premier industry architect. Whether through solo ventures or high-profile collaborations with artists like Mpho Spizzy and Pcee, Infinity MusiQ remains at the cutting edge, ensuring the authentic sound of Soweto continues to resonate globally.
